SUMMER 2018 Update

I am so pleased to be able to tell you that my work continues to be well received by so many. The many accomplishments achieved in 2017 have continued into 2018. In January, Sierra, was selected as Merit Finalist for “Works on Paper” in The Independents Show sponsored by the Corpus Christi Art Center. In March, my work was again recognized in the Southwest Art Magazine. I was recognized with 10 other artists in the Art of Texas section. In May, I received various awards in the 8th Annual “Animals” Online Art Exhibition presented by the Light Space and Time Online Art Gallery. My piece, Two Pair, received 1st Place in the overall exhibition. The exhibition received and judged 718 entries from 25 different countries and from 43 different states. In addition, Two Pair was also selected as 1st Place in the Painting Category. Two other entries Cold Night and Companions on the Plain were received Special Recognition and Special Merit awards.

Also during May, I was privileged to have had two pieces, Companions on the Plain and Lioness Engagement, accepted at the International Society of Scratchboard Artists 7th Annual Exhibition. This exhibit featured artwork from over 50 of the world’s best scratchboard artists. The exhibition featured over 85 pieces produced by artists from Europe, Australia, Asia, and North America. My piece, Companions on the Plain, was voted the People’s Choice Award by the many who attended the show located at the Middletown Art Center in Middletown, Ohio. This is an honor, given all the beautiful pieces exhibited.

In particular, the pieces, Searcher and Sir Brahma, will be shown at the 33rd American Plains Artists 33rd Annual Juried Show at Fort Concho Historic National Landmark in San Angelo, Texas. The exhibition will extend from June 28th to August 5th. Cold Night was accepted in the Fifth Annual Artspace111 Regional Juried Exhibition. The exhibition is located in Fort Worth, Texas and extends from June 22nd to July 28th.
